In-Home Massage

Techniques & Modalities Used

Each session is uniquely crafted using a blend of techniques to address your specific goals. Techniques may include:

Deep Tissue Massage
Focused on the deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue, this technique targets chronic tension and knots. It may feel more intense at times but is very effective for pain relief and improving mobility.

Myofascial Release
This hands-on method gently stretches and releases tight fascia (the connective tissue surrounding muscles) to reduce stiffness and improve movement. You might feel some gentle sustained pressure rather than deep rubbing.

IASTM (Instrument-Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization)
Using specialized tools, this technique helps break down scar tissue and adhesions to enhance muscle function and reduce pain. You may feel some scraping sensations, which usually ease quickly.

Cupping Therapy
Includes both dynamic cupping (moving cups along muscles to increase circulation and break up tension) and static cupping (cups held in place to create suction that promotes blood flow and muscle recovery). You may feel gentle pulling or tugging sensations, and some temporary circular marks can appear.

Assisted Stretching
I use different techniques tailored to your needs, including:

Pin and Stretch:
The therapist “pins” or holds a muscle or tendon at a specific point to isolate and stabilize it, then gently stretches the muscle to release tension and improve mobility. This technique helps target tight spots more precisely.

PNF Stretching (Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation):
A technique involving contracting and relaxing the muscle while stretching to increase range of motion and flexibility. It’s usually done in a cycle of stretch, contract, then deepen the stretch.
